Since Settlers was mentioned here, I thought I'll pitch in. http://carcassonneapp.com/A really excellent board game port from a similar game of the year game for the iPhone/iPad. Really solid multiplayer options (local and network) for up to five people, even supports asynchronous play with reminders when its your turn.

Carcassonne is really awesome. Even more so on the iPad. Right now it just offers the basic game sans extensions but it's stolen quite a bit of productivity in the last few days.
A lot of love and polish went into it and it turned out great. Also I realized that all these years we've been playing the board version wrong.
It's easily worth the money.
Also the AI opponents really play good.
BTW. I don't get the Angry Birds love. The physics engine is clearly broken. Often executing the same chain of moves shows completely different result, aiming with pixel accuracy on a touch phone is impossible and this makes completing the harder levels that much more frustrating than it already is.

two gripes I have with Carcassonne.
1. It depends a little bit to much on the luck of the draw (that's true for the board version too), this gets better with expansion sets as they add more tiles. 2. The computer opponents seem to have better luck with drawing the good tiles. Usually when I try to complete cities all I get is roads.

Funnily enough if I try to finish a road all I get is city tiles But yes, luck is a factor, luckily you can use the roads to block the computers expansion and they are not totally wasted.

Doesn't anyone like to, you know...actually play with real pieces anymore?

Also I realized that all these years we've been playing the board version wrong. That's kind of funny, I was hoping this was a PC version because I have an odd itch at the back of my head that we're playing it wrong and wanted to see a computerized version.

If you can read this, you're on a board populated by misogynist assholes.

Doesn't anyone like to, you know...actually play with real pieces anymore? I prefer playing it in person. I have two expansions for it but mainly use them just for the extra tiles since the other stuff bogs down the game a bit. That's kind of funny, I was hoping this was a PC version because I have an odd itch at the back of my head that we're playing it wrong and wanted to see a computerized version.
You can play on a PC against live people on BSW, you don't even have to download a client. More info here: http://forums.f13.net/index.php?topic=16295.0I can post a little rule summary card I edited later.

Best $6 I've spent all week. And that includes yesterdays lunch. I can't stand the way the computer uses the side city piece to constantly scab 4 points... " hello I've been waiting to close off my massive city, not to mention the countryside now looks like a series of asses to the west".

*Should be working*

Still trying to figure this game out. I think I sorta got Solitaire, but want to try a multiplayer game.
Someone send me an invite!
