The kids all got what they wanted (or something similar but better), the obligatory fight was over whether my daughter would get up with the rest of the kids for an early-morning Christmas (not quite as unreasonable as it sounds at first blush, she works nights and has been helping me ride herd on the younger ones all Winter Break), all the electronic gizmos worked (some of them only because I am an Alpha Geek who knows how to use the network commands left buried in XP from NT, which just makes it better), and I have a belly full of food.
The toddler fulfilled her role and played with the boxes and wrappings instead of her toys, tired herself out and went off to nap while we ate and talked. Best Christmas Ever.
