www.wardrome.comFound this little "gem" whilst being stuck in North Carolina with only my laptop to stay occupied. I've only gotten through the tut missions, but indications are this is definitely not your standard "space empire/ogame" type space pbbg.
Indications are it's devved by a small Italian company. The english site is a rough translation, but tenable. The community is pretty small (on the english server), but given the depth of the game and its rpg nature - this is not a bad thing imo. Game's pretty new regardless. It's also competely free with premium services that give small advantages.
Anyways, it's basically a more graphical and rpg-centric space strat. and management pbbg... with politics, trade, professions, skills, etc. The depth of this game for a "textual" non-MUD pbbg is pretty impressive. UI is slightly cumbersome, but graphical enough to keep you focused. The learning curve is pretty high, but you're not forced to leave the newb zone until you're ready. Being in a clan is probably a necessity.
Dunno if the game is any good yet but it caught my eye. Server is pretty entry-level right now so it seems pretty easy to dominate given you've got an eager alliance, although the political system may quell overzealous groups a bit. We'll see.
