Happy Thanksgiving, folks.

Things I'm thankful for: porn, internet, good games coming out again (finally), and the flash banner on the forums not being ugly.

May gluttony be enjoyed by all!

I'm thankful for having Friday off so I don't have to watch hordes of angry people milling around in the wee hours of the morning chasing after a mythical "super sale."

I bought a TV from Best Buy two weeks before Black Friday. I went back into Best Buy on Black Friday to get the discount green, but lo and behold it was $200 more, only this time it had a SALE tag on it.

I picked up a 27" HDTV from Best Buy last year for $400. They're selling the same model this year for $350. Bummer.

This year I'm picking up a 30GB Zen Nomad Xtra from WalMart's website, since they have it at a nice $175.

Hells yes. I damn near devoured the one the wife made today. Add that to the "thankful" list.

I spent the afternoon and evening with 9 other friends and fiends of friends.  We two turkeys (one roasted, one smoked), mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, stuffed cabbage, green beans, carrots & peas, ham with llime, biscuits, cranberries, jello, and apple and pumpkin pie.  We watched two bad movies, The Eighteenth Angel and Krull, and then the  TMBG documentary film.

A day late but I'm glad the first thanksgiving dinner the wife and I attempted turned out a great success. It was just the two of us and my parents so we started out small but we managed to turn out the entire meal:

12.5 lb turkey
dressing
mashed potatoes w/ gravy
sauteed green beans
sweet potatoes
cranberry salad
spring mix salad
rolls
pumpkin pie
pumpkin roll

Needless to say the 4 of us didn't even dent all that and I have another week of eating thanksgiving leftovers... Not that that's a bad thing.
