I haven't played it. Does the character customization/advancement go beyond looks/gear?

You have skills that increase with use and impact how the game plays, and aspects of your appearance (weight, muscle mass) are dictated by your behavior. I realized a line had been crossed when I caught my kid brother grinding up skill with an Uzi because he wanted to be able to dual-wield.

I found myself getting ready to stuff C.J. full of cheeseburgers in order to get a date with that girl who liked fat guys... then I realized that was stupid and went back to flying around with a jetpack while shooting motherfuckers.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Sounds like it qualifies to me then.

Betrayal at Krondor is better than half that damn list.
FF7 was shit next to FF6. Everyone who's not retarded knows this.
Hell FF7 was just plain shit.  Surely I'm not the only person who called  their own personal happy ending?
