Saw this in an ad the other day and checked it out... Small footprint, built in wireless (if configured with it), HDMI and DVI outputs, decent sized HD. If all one would use it for would be streaming video/media from hulu or some such (and occasional torrent) to the TV and music, occasional web surfing from the couch, it would do the job, yeah? Other option is the Studio Slim PC. Thoughts?

I'd normally pipe up to say 'get a mac mini', but they REEEALLY need to refresh the line. Badly. 1.83GHz C2D? The fuck?

The only thing (and i'm not supper tech savvy) that gives me pause about that dell, is the integrated video cards. Its the same one they installed on all our machines at work to do graphics on. Needless to say i made them replace it.

Of the two I would get the Studio Slim so I wasn't dealing with notebook parts (the Hybrid is a notebook in a non-notebook case).
The Mac Mini is plenty fast for a media machine but it has notebook parts as well. Also, no internal Blu-Ray (Apple hates Blu-Ray) if that's an issue.

The more I looked at them, the more I liked the Studio Slim. BluRay isn't an issue, since I have a BR player. The wife is putting her foot down, so I can't spend a whole lot of money after buying the new plasma -and- the BR player a couple weeks ago.
I don't need the Studio Slim / Hybrid / whatever to do a whole lot; just access internet, stream video/audio, and occasional web surfing. I'd thought about picking up a cheapie laptop but it ultimately defeated the purpose. I'm leaning more towards the Slim, especially since it has 7.1 audio.
