I posted this in the football (soccer) thread, but I think it deserves a wider airing. For background, Newcastle United are a top-level team in Britain, but their rather obsessive and unrealistic fan base, coupled with incompetent owners, eccentric managers and a string of prison-term-violent players make them into an ongoing drama of the funniest sort. Anyway, they have just hired a manager who hasn't done much for a few years, and nothing successful for even longer, as a short-term stopgap. The press have had a field day, including alleging that the players failed to show up for his training, and revealing that he skipped the first day of his new job. So, this sort of interview is unusual? I had it in my head that most all UK interviews went like this. Didn't Churchill call Stalin a flaming cunt on radio?

Thanks for the audio script nice one ;) Ironically he was a TV pundit on Irish television during the World Cup and other assorted international games, was even in the running for Irish national coach not sure what I think of this yet. After listening to the audio it reminds of me of a Clough style outburst.
