Error 404: Title not found.

on: November 24, 2011, 06:33:18 AM

I figured I'd start this thread to say what I'm thankful for this year and then let people add on with theirs as we go on through the weekend.

I'm thankful for:

- Having a job in this economy
- That all my grandparents are still with us
- That my friend's mother is battling hard with her cancer
- My friend Katie is about to have their first child
- Good weather this weekend
- Good games this year with more to come
- The F13 community distracting me at work

Happy Turkey Day!

I'm thankful
... for getting a job.
... to f13 for enabling me to find that job.
... my boss for making that job tolerable (and his mead, and just being a cool person).  [obligatory suck-up line Grin]

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

for my buddy Rocco's spirit as he fights rectal cancer
people stepping up for those who can't step up for themselves
the taxpayers who voted us a stay of execution this year despite teatard anarchists
our new mayor who isn't a total fucking dick like the last trainwreck
politicians who take the time to walk their districts and talk to people....and listen

I am thankful for:

-Being over-employed (at least temporarily) instead of the basically unemployed I was this time last year.
-Friends and family who put up with my madness.
-Meijer being out of their super-deal Xbox360 Kinect bundle when I ran by to pick up potatoes this morning, that could have been an impulse buy that went overboard.

This has pretty much been the worst overall year of my life, but rather than pissing on this thread like a prick I'll say I'm genuinely glad that things are doing well for a bunch of you guys.

I am thankful that the biggest problem I have right now is being sick with some sort of annoying cold. I am also thankful Ingmar brought me leftovers from the Thanksgiving I had to miss as a result.  Heart

I am thankful we have no Thanksgiving family dinners over here because I can't stomach turkey meat.

You guys.   awesome, for real

I know I have been the "not so sober in the past guy while posting incoherently" - but I really do enjoy all you guys bring to the table.  From awesome pictures to random updates on random topics.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

Thankful for this community.  You have given me hope that intelligent life exists on this planet.  I learn something from this community every day and am grateful.   Also thanks to Schild.  I left f13 a while back and he encouraged me to return.  I'm glad that I did.

Oh yeah, job stuff, health, blah blah blah.

I'm thankful for the holidays, time off, and crazy side projects.

I'm thankful for tiny ISM band transceivers being inexpensive and readily available.

I'm also thankful for a crazy world where you can get decent 2 sided printed circuit boards fabricated in a couple weeks for $2.50 / in^2 and where software to design such boards is free.

- thankful that I managed to pass French and continue with my job, even if it just got a lot more difficult.
- thankful that the group of folks I'll be with for the next two years are quite alright, and even this poor city isn't all that bad.
