Man don't ask me, I would never grow fucking plants in an MMOG unless it was a FARMING mmog.

But yea, the mod sounds reasonably sexy. If those two work in tandem, it almost makes cultivation an appealing Thing.

I'm still hooked on the fact I can't harvest purple equipment for non now. Do want to cry.

To be fair, I need to update my Talisman FAQ with new things I learned about the power-o-meter and 'crit' crafts I discovered yesterday, but the green/blue/purple curios you find from Scavenging do actually help - they push the power-o-meter up, and if you're awesome up, you can artificially inflate the item level.

But that Captain's salami tray was tight, yo. You plump for the roast pork loin, dogg?

Those addons help a lot.  Though I'm stuck at 25 cultivating and 50 apoc.  Cultivating makes me want to slit my wrists.

Dont' do the soil/water/feed for skillups.  Seriously.

Just pop a seed in the slot till you hit skill 40, then make sure you've got a bunch of lvl 50 seeds and go get the buff from owning a BO.  Viola!  You're lvl 50 now, getting skillups from each of the TWO plots you have then.  Just make sure to get the base skill up to 50 before the buff wears off.

I'm at 111 cultivating and never use soil/water/candy just pop em in there and go quest/pvp it's slow at first but once you hit 50 and can do two seeds it really speeds up, same for your third slot at 100.

"Why Sjofn! Why do you think you're broken in some fundamental way?"

"Because I actually like cultivation. :("

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with me. I see EXACTLY WHY other people would hate it, and yet I'm all YAY GROWING SEEDS.

I like cultivation. I don't even DO anything with it, since I hate making potions with a burning passion (I'm also one of those people who HATES using consumables, I don't even roll on potions in goups)

Cultivating is fun. I change plants during pve combat. Hell, I was doing it when Righ was likely screaming into his monitor at me for pulling 20 zombies at a time without saying anything.

I think I'm at 140ish now?

I ignored Talisman for too long, now I'm screwed, because all I get from salvaging is stuff that requires level 25 Talisman to use. So now I have to go back and try to get Chap. 1 greens or pay premium prices for them on the AH. Nobody seems to be selling the by-products of salvaging, just the blue/green curios that people with scavenging find.

So I've been planting level 1 seeds all night and got 10 points.  Soooo close to level 50, at 42 right now.

At 42, you need to gather a load of lvl 50 seeds.  Then head to a Battlefield Objective that we own... one of them gives a +% to gold, the other gives a +10 to 5 of the tradeskills.  Get the latter.  Do skillups with the 50s.

Start planting level 25 ones.

The other trick to cultivating it seems (when I couldn't find a BO) is level 1 vendor materials. plopping down level 1 vendor soil water and such seems to greatly increase the chance of a skillup.

Totally not worth it for pain in the ass value until you hit a point where your seeds alone aren't giving you skillups. Either hunt down a BO, or be a halfassed gardener.
