We need a text chat room, I'm bored stiff.

Anyone have some good links to keep occupied with (safe-for-work only please)?

DarkVeng has registered #f13 on sorcery.net.  If people want to use that to chat away, I'm sure no one would mind.

Can't do that at work unfortunately. Little easier to get away with massive hubris like IRC chatting at work when you work for county government.  Big corps tend to frown on it.

God I need those links, not only are most ports blocked so I can't connect to IRC, I also am not allowed to install anything on my computer.  Mine would be:

http://www.slickdeals.net
http://www.ipodlounge.com if you've got a 'pod (down for the moment?)

And, of course, the ubiquitous /.

f13 IS my link for boredom relief at work. Stupid web blocking software. (For instance, www.mlb.com is blocked but mlb.mlb.com isnt. Or clicking on the 'forums' button on the front page is blocked but I can get to the forums through the front page story thread links, go figure.)

SO POST MORE AND MAKE IT FUNNY, DAMNIT.

Stupid corporations. Actually, I work for AOL (but the good side, honest!) and I could IRC but I hate IRC... too many l33t d00dz for me.

Since you get what you give, here's my normal browsing list of websites:
    *
FaRK (funny)
 * GU Comics (comic)
 * MMORPG.com (mmo news)
 * Penny Arcade (comic)
 * PvP (comic)
 * Terra Nova (game blog)
 * WilWheaton.Net (blog)
 * Blues News (game news)
 * Gamasutra (game dev news)
[/list:u]
These are gaming related, except for Fark and Wil Wheaton (though Wil Wheaton's latest post is about GTA:SA). Enjoy. And, yes, I'm still bored - give me more links!

If you're into teevee, there is always a ton of hilarious, well-written stuff to read at Television Without Pity.

Um, never mind.

Couple more comics I read on a regular basis:

I'm sure I speak for everyone here (yourself included Signe) when I say we prefer bat-shit crazy or nutter-butter nuts to just plain old insane.

God, I didn't get this much fanfare when I switched out Murray for Mifune.  And I've been using that avatar for like.... ever.  Where's the love?

Bring back the dark and demonic skull, damnit!

Honestly, without Murray and Gir it just doesn't feel like a worthwhile forum.

Every time a frontpaged person changes their avatar, I gotta go in and change all the articles to match it. I'd rather not have people fuck with their avatars. That said, if you want to change avatars, change them today (for all the writers). I'm gonna make a folder tonight seperate from the forum avatar folder.

Go to smokeless tobacco.

All the benefits of cigarettes, plus the big lump of Kodiak under your lip screams classy.

The herbal jar is empty.   I usually mix it with tobacco, but I can cope as long as it's restocked soon. No more turning threads in to 'me' rants.  I'm beginning to feel like SirBruce.  Just ignore my smoking comments and go about your business.  You don't want me mad at you this week.

I just cheated.  Shut up.  I don't care.  This will surely build my character.

Signe,

Your kind of the anti-SB.
