Anyone heard much of these two movies?

Ive been out of touch the past three week or so and when I logged on to fandango last night to buy some IronMan tickets (that movie rocked), I saw ads for these two. I havent seen much in the way of advertising or marketing for them.

From what I have read:

The Fall. Directed by Tarsem Singh, whose last movie The Cell was weird, twisted and entertaining. The written synopsis doesnt sound that great but the trailer (visuals and effects) looks amazing. However Pan's Labyrinth looked visually stunning in the trailers and I thought it sucked.

Redbelt. Once again the written synopsis leaves me wondering. However its directed by David Mamet and stars some actors whose work I really like. Especially the star Chiwetel Ejiofor (from American Gangster, Serenity and Love Actually among others ) and supporting actor Joe Mantegna.

So your thoughts, opinions, rumors, etc??

Oh and lastly just for giggles I saw there was a new movie out called The Babysitters, about young underage girls having affairs with middle aged suburban married men.....I heard about that story line in a porno once but didnt think they would make it into a mainstream movie.

I'm a big Mamet fan, and do like Ejiofor. Completely different subject matter for a Mamet story too... So I'll check it out eventually.

I thought the Cell sucked, so I'm not going to go out of my way to see the Fall.

..

That being said, why didn't you post this in the box office thread?

Errr I didnt see it, and in the past we have had seperate threads on specific movies such as the thread I started on "Cloverfield"
however since I dont venture out of the Politics forum all that much if I have committed a grave error then some Mod paste this into the Box Office thread. Thank you.

I should have posted a smiley after that.

No, we only post stand alone movie threads when it's expected to be some kind of wankfest.

I've heard some positive buzz for both movies, but with the summer movie season starting up, my theater doesn't have many auditoriums to spare for smaller movies.  As it is, when What Happens in Vegas got it's release date bumped up, it resulted in my theater not getting Son of Rambow last week.

I don't know anything about the fall. I tend to avoid horror movies these days because they tend to either be torture porn or jump fests that are not in the least scary. (by jump fest I mean they rely on a cat jumping at the screen for their "scares".)

As for Redbelt it looks nice but it's a rental for me I think. There are too many movies I want to see this summer as it is.
