Does anyone else use Crucial Ballistix PC6400 DDR2 (800 MHz) memory, and have you had issues with it?

One of my memory sticks failed last week, and it was barely a month old.  Another one failed today.  In between sending the other kit back to Newegg for RMA and this second stick failing, I'm down to 1 GB in my system, and very unhappy.

I'm using it exactly on the spec, 4-4-4-12-2T 2.2 V as per the manufacturer specification (this setting was auto-picked by the BIOS) and it's not even warm to the touch and well-ventilated, so I don't know why it fails.

Judging by the user reviews on the Newegg site (700 reviews) it runs well but some of it fails.  Problem is that the reviews for equivalent memory from all the other manufacturers look the same:  Corsair, Kingston, OCZ...  all of their reviews are "runs great, but some of them fail", so I can't tell which manufacturer has a higher percentage of issues compared to the others.   Was there a problem with the actual integrated chip that they use in the DDR2 800 PC6400 line or something, making all the memory modules made by everyone crap out?

I'm currently RMA'ing kits back and forth, and it's frustrating.  Any comments or advice about which brand to get once they all burn out would be nice.  Must be 240 pin DDR2, 800 MHz or higher, and I don't know whether I should go for 800 MHz 4-4-4-12 or 1066 MHz 5-5-5-15 with a 1333 MHz front bus, SLI motherboard (the EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR).

Thanks.

Well, after carefully reading the 700 reviews (instead of just the bad ones like I did before), looks like the particular batch that I have has problems.  Some idiots gave them 5 stars and only mentioned that their memory sticks went bad in the cons.

In any case, I've put the stick that went bad today back in, and toned down the settings to 5-5-5-18 1.85v.  Apparently the problem is that even though the manufacturer says the memory will run at 4-4-4-12-2T 2.2v, it fries at that speed/voltage.

Guess I'll wait for the RMA replacement for the other two sticks to get back to me, and then play with the settings some more.  And buy better memory a year from now, maybe they'll have DDR2 1333 MHz by then.

EDIT:  Sorry for spamming with this.

Plus, that's the code for an 8800gt. swamp poop

I had issues with several types of memory in both an EVGA 680i, and 780i. The memory works fine in other boards, but I had OCZ and Corsair with issues on those boards.

:edit: Grammar snake gonna get me.
