Right now my laptop display is showing way too much green, and this is seemingly on grey areas. Blue looks fine, as does green, it's only on grey or offwhite areas. Yesterday I installed a codec pack that probably had something to do with it, but really I'd rather not have to mess around with undoing that, is there any color utility or process I could run to correct the color symptom?

What GPU does your laptop use?

ATI RADEON X2300

It's an ASUS F3Jr if that is relevant.

The ATI control panel should have color correction controls.

Strange that a codec would affect that.

First thought on reading title:

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Sounds like a loose connection between the display and the Vid card. I had a monitor that had a bad cable once... it did something similar. Unfortunately for you, if this is your issue, it wouldn't be easily fixed in a laptop without disassembling it.

I think you're about 9 hours too late.

Man, I musta been reading way to fast... lol

I did, however have another issue like this over the weekend (ironically) I had installed Vista (which sucks) and EVERYTHING was tinted yellow. It eventually ended up being related to Vista automatically installing my monitors "default" color profile. I had to download  and install a generic Adobe one to correct it.

Later, it didn't matter for me though. I un-installed Vista when I found out it cut my framerate in half.

Is it too late to suggest that your laptop is sarcastically mocking you?
