3 of your Republican Hopefuls for the Presidency just said they Do Not Believe in the theory of Evolution.

It's not just the down and out Jacktards that are mental.

I wonder if they've ever seen a dog?  If you aren't convinced that there is an actual evolutionary mechanism by looking at changes in English Bull dogs in the last 100 some odd years you should just have an ice pick shoved into the base of your skull and be done with it.

I mean, it's not like everyone, or most, or even half that you come across would be that insane. Unless you're going to places (like that small white shack of a church down the highway...) where you increase your chance of finding them.

No, in Mississippi, they don't restrict themselves to that white shack church down the highway. No, they are on every 2nd block with a big mega church, and they are in your workplace when you least expect (and could even be a boss), or worse, they are family members. Fuck me, some of these people are attracted to folks like me as if I was a shepple magnet.

It's not that scary that people believe this, because of the fecal-matter wallpaper people. It's scary that they believe it AND WILL SPEAK OF IT IN PUBLIC. The closet society has been trying to put homosexuals in for centuries? It needs to be cleaned out and filled with fundifarks.

The battle against ignorance will never end. Maybe we need a czar.

Just saw a good thing on Isaac Newton and how he considered the Trinity heresy against the Ten Commandments.

And satan's little cotton fingers is comedy gold.

God damnit, being this fucking stupid should be a criminal offense.

That website is so moronic I am personally insulted and offended.

Poe's Law strikes again!  In all fairness, though, Landover Baptist is only slightly more outrageous than the real deal I saw growing up in a rural Southern Baptist church with its Bible schools, revivals, camps, conventions, etc.

I tried that argument years ago.  Doesn't seem to get me anywhere.

Them:  Do you beleive Jesus is your savior?

Me:  No the cross is a graven image and the 1st commandment says "NONE before me."

Them:  Usually some BS semantic argument about how the cross is an icon and not really a graven image.

Creationist Response: It's still a dog. It didn't become a bird or anything.

Admittedly, 200+ years of progress has forced creationists to consider anything below the family level as "microevolution". So, progress! :)

One big problem with the world today is that our population density ISN'T HIGH ENOUGH!
Quote
In the Far East, Japan, at 830 people per square mile, has a much higher standard of living than countries liberals argue are over-populated such as China, at 315 and India at 700. Taiwan has one of the highest standards of living in the East, with 1,503 people per square mile, with five times the density as those of much lower prosperity on the mainland.

People are assets, not liabilities. Socialists and communists, however, since they must provide for so many helpless dependents, see people as consumers, rather than the producers most are. A few hundred years ago, famine was rampant in North America. Today, with a nearly thousand-fold increase in population, we not only feed ourselves but much of the left-wing world.

Those figures for China are just a Bit skewed by the fact that huge swaths of the country are Extremely inhospitable.

The problem with this idiot's train of thought is that he links population and high standards of living, lack of famine and so on. He's a friggin' moron with a political point to make. These countries have all of that stuff in spite of high population, not because of it. If anything, the causal relaitionship is inverse from what he is trying to say it is. High standards of living, lack of famine, etc leads to a higher population. Duh.

Here's a quick quote on the protest:

Quote
Rev. Fred “God Hates Fags” Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church to picket… JERRY FALWELL’S FUNERAL!

From the Westboro Baptist Church site:

WBC will preach at the memorial service of the corpulent false prophet Jerry Falwell, who spent his entire life prophesying lies and false doctrines like "God loves everyone".  There is little doubt that Falwell split Hell wide open the instant he died.

It's even more funny if you add in Larry Flint speaking very kindly about Falwell on Larry King, regarding Falwell's death, a few days back.

I guess this makes Falwell a moderate since extremists on both sides are lambasting him.

Well, keep in mind that they're saying he's in hell because he wasn't extreme enough in preaching bigotry and hatred.

Whereas a reasonable person might say he's in hell because he preached bigotry and hatred in the first place.

You might be on the same page, but they're reading it upside down.

Except that people who don't believe in God/heaven/hell saying that someone is in hell is funny.  Also, they're still on the same page of celebrating his death.

I didn't see anyone who doesn't believe in hell claiming that he's in hell, but I'll admit I didn't really follow that thread.

My reaction when I found out he died was the same reaction I had for Saddam Hussein's death:
"Enjoy nonexistence, douchebag."

But for Falwell it's just a bit more poignant.

I have a return question, though:
Would ti be wrong to celebrate the death of Osama Bin Laden if there were Muslim extremists also celebrating it because he "didn't go far enough"?

LYNCHBURG, Va. —  A 19-year-old Liberty University student was arrested late Monday night after Virginia cops found he had napalm-like devices that he may have been planning to use on protesters at Rev. Jerry Falwell's funeral, FOX News confirmed.

Mark Uhl, of northern Virginia, was found to have five devices in the trunk of his car that were described by the Campbell County Sheriff's Department as some type of "bomb" with detonation devices.

The cops were tipped off to the homemade bombs by a concerned member of Uhl's family.

Once officials found the devices, Uhl was taken into custody and interviewed. Cops said that Uhl admitted he planned to attend the funeral — which drew thousands on Tuesday — but gave no indication of intent to cause harm.

"At this time it is not believed that these devices were going to be used to interrupt the funeral services at Liberty University," Sheriff Terry E. Gaddy said in a statement.

However, ABC News reported that the 19-year-old told authorities he was making the bombs to stop protesters from disrupting the funeral.

The bombs were made from a combination of gasoline and detergent, ABC reported via a local law enforcement official. The official told ABC that the bombs were "slow burn" and would not have been very destructive.

Gaddy said that there were indications others were in involved in the process of making the devices and cops are still investigating those individuals with the assistance of the ATF, Virginia State Police and the FBI.

ABC reported three other suspects are currently being sought. One is a soldier from Ft. Benning and another is a high school student.

Falwell died last week after collapsing in his office at Liberty University. His doctor said Falwell had a heart condition and likely died of a heart rhythm abnormality. Falwell founded Liberty University in 1971.

The suspect is currently being held in Campbell County Adult Detention Center under no bond on charges of manufacturing an explosive device
