Title: SXSW '07
Post by: koboshi on February 14, 2007, 01:03:14 PM
South by Southwest, or SXSW (http://2007.sxsw.com/) as they have taken to calling it, was a film festival and has over the years added a music and an Interactive section (http://2007.sxsw.com/interactive/) which looks like most of the other conferences (lots of names (http://screenburnfest.com/2007/?page_id=5) talking about themselves through thinly veiled generalizations).  Anyway, it's may 9-13 in Austin and I'm going, at least to the free stuff like the Screen Burn Arcade. (http://screenburnfest.com/2007/?page_id=78)  I'm just curious if there is there anyone else from F13 going?

For the clueless here are some links.
Here are the panels: http://2007.sxsw.com/interactive/programming/panels/
Here ere are the speakers:

If you have second life you can probably get better access than I will being there.

I'd probably go if it weren't for the fact that I hate most everybody that actually lives here, and there'll be a lot of them at sxsw.

Gah. Used to be a cool show for Texas talent/acts. Has gotten really overblown and pricey now.
