One thing I give these guys a lot of credit for: expanding the RPG aspect of the game by allowing customized character creation of the hero units. The graphics are surprisingly good (keeping in mind all the avatars are small scale). Choosing the attributes and the powers - they did nice job. The deeply ironic part is that in looking at the screens from the LOTR MMORPG I would say the character creation graphics are more appealing in the RTS game lol. Otherwise incremental changes to the game - more units etc. Also flexibility on build locations. The game does a good job going after combining mass combat RTS with an RPG element - but that is such an odd mix - that the best results are not too enticing. If you liked the original game I would recommend picking this up. |
