Anyone who is an Android wizard tell me why my notifications go silent when a game updates? It happened years ago with a Star Wars game, and it does it to my Star Trek game as well. I still get the push, phone vibrates, but it doesn't play a sound after a game update. If I uninstall and reinstall, it fixes it. But that's a bitch to do every time. I've tried clearing data and cache, doesn't fix it. But I also know jacque about phones.

Any help appreciated.

I doubt this is any help at all, but on my old S7 I often have to restart an app or game and then close it to force updates to recommence after an update. I haven't had to reinstall them though.

I think we just got old phones.

Yeah, I always close apps to update. Mostly because I don't know anything about software writes, but I figure it can't be good to have stuff running while you update.
