Essentially folks who like horror movies are pleased with it being a good horror movie, whereas people who expected cleverly subversive plot and politics are disappointed. I'm getting a lot of, "This is Jordan Peele's Shyamalan film."

It's still left a bit vague and the audience just has to accept it an move on. Also the twist at the very end is telegraphed pretty early to the point where I maybe wouldn't even call it a twist. Or maybe I just watch too many movies.
