There was an old Roger Moore flick called "The Man that haunted Himself" that did the "haunted by a part of yourself that has escaped and wants to become you" thing with a bit of subtlety.

This thing looks like it will blow its load in the first 30 minutes, and after that be as subtle as Christmas advertising.

It's a horror movie, chickendick. Not a thriller.

That looks damn good - I'm hoping the trailer didn't show too much.

So, so, so disappointing.

What a waste of a Cinema trip.

Mixed reports, and it hasn't encouraged me to the point I'm interested in going to the theater. Essentially folks who like horror movies are pleased with it being a good horror movie, whereas people who expected cleverly subversive plot and politics are disappointed. I'm getting a lot of, "This is Jordan Peele's Shyamalan film."

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Don't expect any real answers. Things are explained, but not really. It's still left a bit vague and the audience just has to accept it an move on. Also the twist at the very end is telegraphed pretty early to the point where I maybe wouldn't even call it a twist. Or maybe I just watch too many movies.

It's neither a good horror, nor clever at all.

That's literally all I wanna say on the matter.  I feel really, really cheated though I'm aware no-one owed me shit.
