Title: Steamed Hellgate Post by: Kageru on November 25, 2018, 02:07:49 AM I noticed, with some shock, that Hellgate has been launched on steam. Apparently it is the Korean online version with the multi-player roughly ripped out (the button for guild actions is still there), Tokyo not in but suggestions it may come later, and all the f2p cash shop stuff removed. I got to satisfy some long dormant curiosity. You can see echoes of diablo in it and clear evidence the developers had limited fps experience (or server / system constraints). The use of tilesets to generate maps can also be seen perfected, but still eventually repetitive, in warframe. The gameplay is still somewhat fun... shockingly.
