Title: Tabletop Simulator Post by: Viin on September 25, 2018, 08:07:12 AM Is this any good? Is it real-time only or can you walk away and come back to your turn later in the day?
Title: Re: Tabletop Simulator Post by: HaemishM on September 25, 2018, 08:29:51 AM I think you can save the multiplayer game state (or single player). It's literally just pieces and such and you have to know the rules of whatever board game you are playing.
Title: Re: Tabletop Simulator Post by: Viin on September 25, 2018, 08:32:11 AM Ah ha, I didn't realize it was just pieces on a board with no game logic. Good to know!
Title: Re: Tabletop Simulator Post by: HaemishM on September 25, 2018, 08:32:56 AM Honestly it depends on the game. Some of the paid DLC might have the logic, but a lot of the Steam Workshop mods are merely the pieces (though they may have the rules printed on boards in the game).
Title: Re: Tabletop Simulator Post by: eldaec on October 03, 2018, 02:49:19 AM I've never found anything on it worth the fuss.
Vassal seems to have much better community support and doesn't pretend that 3d is better. I use it for xwing a fair amount. If I want to play other things online I'd either pick from something on a site like this... http://www.boiteajeux.net Or this.... http://play.boardgamecore.net Because rules enforcement helps enormously in avoiding accidentally spoiled games. Title: Re: Tabletop Simulator Post by: Teleku on October 03, 2018, 05:44:54 AM Yeah, rule enforcement is 90% of the reason I play any board games electronic version. Almost zero reason for me if it doesn't have that.
