I was a bit of a griefer in UO (I was bored, young, and a jerk) and most of your happy mistakes were exploited immediately after being introduced.

Ah the trapped chests. My room mate back then was literally paying his rent off of trapped chest and bank roof exploits. Most elaborate one I remember: He bought a tiny house and placed it near a major road. He'd go inside, open the door, place a chest in the doorway. Then he'd fill the chest with so much ore that you couldn't actually move it. Then he'd trap the chest, and then stand on top of it and hide. Standing in the doorway kept the door propped open, but since he was hidden, it looked like the chest was doing it. It also for some reason prevented people from pushing through him. People would run down the road and see an open door. Greed kicked in and they'd make a beeline to it. They wouldn't be able to get in or move the chest, so in a panic they'd open the chest without thinking. I witnessed him get at least a dozen people with that.
