This film... jeez blew all my expectations with some amazing thematic scenes. Highly enjoyable on several levels.

If you like satire, this film is excellent. It goes a long way to show our modern world's absurdness and hypocrisy both concerning cultural production and social reproduction. It's even a kind of absurd ironic joke, that this movie is chosen as a palme d'or winner by the very art community it satirizes.

Concerning the palme d'or accolades, it kinda shows how the art world is very effective in co-opting and incorporating criticism of it's very being and current hierarchical structure to defang an insidious rebel voice that could have threatened the social order's reproduction. By handing it one of the highest awards, it labels the film part of the very social order it seeks to expose and subvert; and assigns an incredible high cultural capital to the film, so it's considered "being good taste / high art". The film then goes from being subversive to being socially normalized until it's conventional  -  A classic case of recuperation by the mechanisms of our social and cultural reproduction.

 - Quite ironic.
