CO2's leader 'gigX' was also banned for threatening to cut off the hands of the betrayer 'The Judge'.

Apparently he was asking for the real life name/address of the person, when then also making the threat.  Which to the Eve devs, made it more than just random screaming on the internet.

That kind of reaction to betrayal should be expected.  In Eve's harsh environment of total loss there really is nothing worse than losing everything to a supposed friend.

A wormhole corp I used to run with suffered a similar type of betrayal, one of the members got so angry he threw his desk chair through the window of his house out on to the lawn.  The window was not open at the time.

Well that would explain a bit more than a veiled threat. Definitely not seeing the full picture there.
