A series inspired either by the book or movie (not sure) but it's an original story. It's spooky, well-acted, has the odd twist and is played straight without any campy elements. A demon possesses a girl in an all-American family and an odd couple of two very different priests team up to try to do something about it. One is an experienced exorcist and something of a recluse, the other a young newbie. As well as battling a demon they face Church politics and scepticism. And over time we learn more about the histories of the major characters. It's good fun.
