There was a guy dressed up as a razorblade. The new Death Stranding trailer is about as weird as you can imagine, and the rest of the awards are trash.

Overwatch won Game of the Year. Hah.

Then Inside won Best Art Direction, and that made me happy even though this stuff doesn't matter.

Death Stranding trailer was awesome.

And finally Mass Effect Andromeda trailer/gameplay was underwhelming to say the least. But I don't care, I am sure I'll love the game.

It's a new thing (this is only the second year I believe) fueled by ads and big gaming companies I believe. It's complete bullshit, but it's "supported" by Steam so just another gaming show worth watching for a few premieres and for all the cringe.

That Graphics and Atmosphere matter more than concept, play, and performance.

Death Stranding is just the weirdest fucking thing and will likely be an incredible disaster. We'll find out that Kojima is basically Japanese Tim Schafer and is only capable of creating great things when a brutal soulless corporate overlord is crushing results out of him.

Japanese Tim Schafer is Keita Takahashi. Kojima is closer to Molyneux.

Ouch. Poor Kojima.

What? It's not an insult. He's made some fun shit but it's mired in nonsense and wankery almost all the time. MGS4 and 5 are Kojimas Fable.

Everything else is a goddamned mess.
