Not explicitly part of the MCU in the articles AFAICT, but very likely. Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Velorath on August 17, 2016, 05:41:25 PM Hulu is already worth having for a number of reasons.
Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: jgsugden on November 13, 2017, 12:55:23 PM I'd love to hear what people think of this show once it airs... Starts 11/21.

Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Velorath on November 13, 2017, 11:22:32 PM I canceled my Hulu sub after all the Criterion stuff moved over to FilmStruck. As much as I liked Runaways (while BKV was writing it) none of the trailers I've seen for this are doing anything for me. Given that the showrunner here is the creator, co-creator, or exec producer of shows such as The O.C., Gossip Girl, and the Carrie Diaries I'm going to guess that maybe I'm not the target audience for this.

Hulu is getting Agent Carter reruns, with a possibility (unlikely) of new episodes... Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Khaldun on November 30, 2017, 05:19:15 PM I think it's actually really good. Maybe even if you're not familiar with the source material.

It's uh Not great yet Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Khaldun on December 01, 2017, 03:53:33 AM It's getting started a bit more slowly than the comic. But I don't mind the backstory on the Pride, looks like they're going to matter more as characters with ongoing stories than in the comics.
Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: MediumHigh on December 01, 2017, 05:51:34 PM I liked the Runaways (until they took down Pride). I still ain't watching this due to it not being on Netflix, casting is a giant meh, and the trailer looks like it wants to be trending on tumblr.
Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Raguel on April 07, 2020, 04:23:14 AM Just finished watching the series on Disney+.
I don't remember liking the first season as much as Khaldun, but the final 2 seasons are really good IMO. The show was canceled but I felt the last episode was a good sendoff. Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: Khaldun on April 09, 2020, 09:18:30 AM I really cooled on the first season by the end because they took too long to run away.
Title: Re: Marvel's Runaways (Hulu) Post by: jgsugden on April 09, 2020, 09:33:20 AM It was on par with the weaker Netflix shows (Luke Cage) in terms of quality. I honestly liked Cloak and Dagger better.
I think we'll see C&D reappear elsewhere in Marvel, someday, but Runaways may have absolutely no future in this instance of the MCU. |
