Title: Pathfinder Adventures
Post by: MrHat on June 09, 2016, 06:00:59 AM
So, Obsidian made a faithful iOS video game of the Pathfinder Adventure Card game (board game).

I've played a ton of it.  It's so much better than the card game because you don't have 30 mins of setup and you don't have to shuffle 1000 cards.

You basically choose different heroes to run mini adventures, they get loot/skills.  It's all dice based and fantastic.

Looks like there is an Android version, as well.

It's very, very good. I have an iTunes card wasting away that I might dump into this game because it's the best thing in years on that platform.

It's not for everyone, but I like it. Exactly what I wanted out of this game.

Only necroing this to also sing its praises. I bought the "hardcopy" version but stopped playing due set up times. This is the perfect adaptation and the price for all classes and the full adventure path is cheaper than the starter hardcopy set.

I found it badly swingy and was pretty disappointed.  Felt very punitive.  You had a better experience?

Tried it again.  Holy shit it's awful.  How does this keep going?  Do people actually progress.  Roll roll roll RNG.  Horrible design.
