Title: Pop Star: Never Stop Never Stopping Post by: Merusk on June 06, 2016, 10:33:21 AM This is the new Samberg movie that came out over the weekend. The wife and I decided to see it rather than abuse ourselves with the Turtles.
If you hate Samberg you won't enjoy it. It's very much his comedy and it's exactly what you'd expect from him mocking pop stardom. A very base-level story with a lot of cameos and jokes that are either too-smart or too baseline for the audience. Giving it the over-all "who is this for anyway" feeling most people get from his comedy. I had a good time but the jokes were predictable and you see all the "twists" coming a mile away. Even given that it was still better than the Ghostbusters trailer. |
