Server coming up on renewal. Gonna keep the VERY soft goal at $1450 like last time, but I'd really like to hit ~$2500 to keep the server going for two years. I was poking around Virtual options among other things with Trippy and it would shave a few hundred bucks, but frankly, the work required to switch servers and hosting companies and shit just isn't worth it to me. Here are the inflated options available:

$100 - Grief Title Yourself
$175 - I Grief Title You (Sometime before the next drive. We'll call this the Koster Schedule)
$250 - You Grief Title Someone Else, not Staff - they can change their own grief titles.

Why am I increasing the griefing costs? Frankly, I want as few donations as possible to hit the goal so I can shut the drive down. If we somehow go over it before I shut it down, it'll - as with last time - go into a bucket where I'll buy things for staff if they want it. Full disclosure, only 2 people asked for things last year. That's how shitty gaming was from 2013-2014.

Yes. But we're just shy of paying for the server for 2 years now (about $450ish). We have some other ideas kicking around, but I really like keeping this sort of shit as rare as possible.

Mine has to wait for a short bit until ex decides to be regular with alimony.  Unfortunately, I have two cats who need shots in October and one who needs tests... he has a "condition".  :(  Do you know between the testing, shots and yearly physicals those cats eat up about $500!?!  Lets not even talk about medicated food and tonic!  My cats are obviously made of gold and precious gems.  Dammit.  And old hubby is forgetful and a procrastinator.  At least I hope that's why he seems to not pay a lot of times.  I would freak out if he was just being mean to me.

Then I did the math wrong. Assume $400ish. Also, I paid for a month to extend the server myself for now. So at one point the amount did actually go up.

We are now considering switching to different forum software. For the first time since uh, time began here. We've been on SMF since day 1. So this will be fun.

That said, merge tools exist for both of the options we're looking at so it should be awkward but painless.

That was one of the previous previous donation drives options. He then had to do Paelos' grief title and decided it needed to be higher.

I cared too much about too little.

I broke Schild by having nothing noteworthy to say in 20,000 posts.

There were a few gems but I take user titles more seriously than I should.

Paelos, should he make a donation, will not get that particular reward.
