Myself and some of my old guildies from WoW have decided to run a guild for SWTOR. I was wondering if anyone thats planning on playing on a PVP server is interested in being allies for launch to get on the same server. We allies with Bat for the WAR launch and as far as being allies went, we did ok, until pretty much every one stopped playing.

We are currently planning on a PVP West server.

The game has been up for what, 6 hours? Odds of people being on any of the shared planets in any significant numbers are pretty darn small.

Well, I mean from beta.

I never got that far, but my good friends had a blast. Low level stuff, but said it was still fun.

No WTFPAWN Gear disparity?

Everyone sorta gets equalized when in a BG or whatever.

Already reports of a warzone/pvp exploit (empty warzones granting full xp after 2 minutes) allowing for exploit-based leveling.

You have to be like level 10 to do the battlegroundy things, right?  So they must have hit that in 3-4 hours and now racing up to the 30s - clearly some people are not smelling the roses!  

So by tomorrow they'll be complaining about having nothing to do and saying the game sucks.

The difference is in the skills they have access to, but that levels out around 20-something anyway.

It seems that if you join a warzone queue and enter a warzone, but the warzone doesn't fill with enough players, the instance ends after a few minutes and players are awarded full xp and (apparently) the hoohas needed to get pvp gear. So grinding warzone queues allows for speedy leveling. Should only really affect pvp servers except that some think players may sell off the pvp gear for tons o credits and this gets the server economy off on a bad foot.

I know enough to take anything from the official forums with a bag of salt, but at least SReid says they are aware of the reports and are investigating.

That is a shitty exploit, but at the same time it's like ... way to miss the point of the game, guys.

Those require Valor Rank?  I just remember them taking a metric ton of commendations (or maybe I'm thinking of a a different vehicle).

They get the PvP doodads from the exploit too, apparently!

No they just cost lots of money, which you'll have since all quest XP gets turned into money once you hit 50!
