Title: 30% buff to XP and reknown
Post by: UnSub on February 20, 2010, 09:22:07 PM
Because of a bug in an event buff, all servers are getting a 30% buff to XP and reknown. (http://herald.warhammeronline.com/warherald/NewsArticle.war?id=1032)

So yes, the tech is in WAR to buff XP rates substantially for all players. Too late, of course, but the tech is now there.

When the buff is 100% xp from 1-40, then it will be working.  After that, the game doesn't need an xp/rp buff.

The tech was always there, they had xp/renown buffs for under populated sides since the start.

One of the early arguments was that they couldn't do it across the board, or something, so it was limited server-by-server. The tech may not have existed then.

This is pretty much Land of the Dead.

Well now they don't have to do nearly so much work to apply it to each server individually...

I think their strategy was to get the total number of servers as small as possible to minimize the work.  That was good thinking on Mythic's part.
