Title: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on July 31, 2008, 03:03:02 PM So anyone have any good VP strategy/tips?
Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Sky on August 01, 2008, 09:58:47 AM Nope. :awesome_for_real:
Saw they are putting in a loot revamp for older drops. Yay for us slowpokes! Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Wahn on August 04, 2008, 08:57:39 AM Anything specific you need tips on?

Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Wahn on August 05, 2008, 06:36:42 AM - You need to interrupt the ritual by clicking the active statue of the 4 statues in the room. There'll be an add spawn when you do, so be prepared.
- This will also trigger a heat + short time fear AoE from Druushk a bit later. The damage from this depends on your distance to the mob. - Keep Druushk debuffed all the time, he has a pretty hefty damage output. This should help you getting past one of the two cockblocks in VP. Wing 2 + 3 are a walk in the park. Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on August 05, 2008, 10:58:27 AM Yea, we understand the mechanics of the fight.
How do your guilds handle the adds vs. keeping dps on Dru? Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Wahn on August 05, 2008, 12:12:12 PM If you keep Druushk debuffed and have 1 or 2 of the dd group healers throw in a heal on the mt now and then, you should be able to switch dps between Druushk and the adds. Keep the pets on the dragon all the time. We do an average dps around 30k on Druushk during the total duration of the fight from my last parse (w/o adds).

Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on August 11, 2008, 12:33:56 PM Hopefully Nexona tonight! I'll take any hints/help for that one too!
Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Wahn on August 11, 2008, 10:43:34 PM One of the keys is a constant, not too high dps on Nexona. No burst dps or dropping too low on dps - bad things will happen if you do.
I've seen at least 3 working positionings for this fight, so I think that most will do unless you choose the lava pool  About the adds: We trigger them as soon as possible and burn them with 2 groups to the ground. The drakes are mezzed on spawn and kept that way until Nexona is down. Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on August 12, 2008, 12:04:18 AM How many people you use on the shineys?
Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Wahn on August 12, 2008, 11:00:55 AM 3 plus 2 reserve if some aren't able to check for various reasons (the worst I remember was an attacking cat...). Someone with FD for the one up the ramp in case he gets aggro on spawn.
Edit: Assuming you're talking about triggering. If you meant dps, everyone but the mt group, a brigant and pets switch to spawns. If you don't kill them fast, you'll drown in them. Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on August 19, 2008, 02:02:55 AM Well - Nexona down.
The next two dragons seemed a bit...loot pinata like. I don't think my timer for wing blade is correct. Title: Re: Veeshan's Peak Post by: Furiously on September 02, 2008, 07:16:44 AM Cleared. Silverwing was the only other dragon there that gave us any sort of problem.
