Title: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: Azazel on October 26, 2007, 07:13:25 PM So I read through the 360 thread, and found that schild loved the 360 version while others had mixed opinions. I thought it looked good, but since it was AU$100ish for a good while, I forgot about it. Just noticed Steam has it for $40, which has piqued my interest again. Thoughts on the game now that some time has passed? Did anyone here play the PC version?

I liked it again on Steam. Title: Re: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: Rasix on October 26, 2007, 07:38:51 PM I didn't care much for the demo. :-P
Title: Re: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: Chenghiz on October 31, 2007, 12:47:40 PM I played the PC demo, it was pretty and fun but I think I liked it on 360 more. The third-person camera is a bit awkward with the mouse for some reason.
Title: Re: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: Samwise on October 31, 2007, 05:46:27 PM I played through part of the demo. It was meh when I had the mech, and unbearable after I lost it. Uninstalled before I reached the end.
Also, laziest PC port I've ever seen. The in-game help told me to push the A button to shoot or someshit. And the mouse sensitivity capped out at "drag the mouse across your entire desk ten times to turn around." Title: Re: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: Azazel on November 01, 2007, 01:55:13 PM A shame, it looked quite nice. Warhammer 40k: Fire Warrior was also a FPS that suffered from severe consolitis. Another shame there, because I love me some 40k, and FPS 40k should have been oarsome.

Title: Re: Lost Planet (PC) Post by: bhodi on November 02, 2007, 08:02:04 AM Yeah, I played this. It was pretty; story sucked, laggy and shitty implemented mouse with crappy way-to-unsensitive-at-max sensitivity.
If you don't have a top of the line computer, there's really no point to getting this. |
