Every fuckin' binge drinker I knew came from a family with an anal relationship towards booze. All the actual social drinkers -- we're talking slow and steady enough that their blood-alcohol content never even got them into "can't drive" range were the ones whose parents started to let them have wine when they were in their early teens, and flat out told them if they wanted to drink they could at home.Didn't think it fit in politics since it's so wondrously stupid, but apparently we can simply legislate for good parental skills. I will drive however far I need to to pick you -- and any friends -- up and take them home, and you will NOT hear one word about it later. No fucking way you get into shit by being responsible". The binge drinkers, on the other hand, learned to drink that way because they generally only had a couple of hours to get the beer down before Mom or Dad might catch them.
