It's in Korean, but the screenshots show it. I look forward to all the "OVER NINE-THOUSANNNNNNNNNNNNDDD!!!" jokes. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Murgos on March 08, 2007, 07:15:19 AM I have just one question.
Are they still on Namek? Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Signe on March 08, 2007, 07:42:11 AM Oooh! I want to play that. It looks gloriously splenda.
Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: raydeen on March 08, 2007, 07:50:53 AM I can't wait to unlock Super Sayjin Mode 4!

Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: LK on March 10, 2007, 06:03:29 PM I'd play it, especially if it was good. The best thing I always said about Dragonball is that you have an excellent world setting, so how about making a game where you can create your own characters and exist in it, instead of following Goku through the nine thousandth reiteration of the main story?
Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: cosapi on March 10, 2007, 06:49:53 PM Looks like Dragon Ball Z. How I wish it could be original Dragon Ball. I always loved the way Toriyama draws dinosaurs.
Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Evil Elvis on March 10, 2007, 07:02:46 PM I can only imagine the amount of light and particle effects going on in this game.
It's probably like watching a disco ball fuck a strobe light. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Surlyboi on March 14, 2007, 02:17:25 PM Surly, your avatard is Glorious. Yeah, saw that and could think of no better place to have it than here. Here's another one... ![]() Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Murgos on May 08, 2008, 03:50:59 PM I liked the part on the video where the guy created his newbie character and ran over and started fighting a bunny.
I liked it because now that I know it just MOTS I know I can safely ignore this game. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: schild on May 08, 2008, 03:57:23 PM Quote I liked it because now that I know it just MOTS I know I can safely ignore this game. I can't parse this sentence. I keep getting logic errors. Also, it's fucking cel-shading (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cel-shaded_animation) you bastards. And this DBZ game is some of the worst cel-shading I've seen. Fucking nasty. You want nice? Go see the new Naruto PS3 game. Or go back and play Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7, or Wind Waker. Because this DBZ shit is narsty. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: Merusk on May 08, 2008, 04:42:00 PM "Cell" is a character in DBZ - the one in the picture. I feel ashamed for knowing that, but far less ashamed than the two who MADE the joke should.

There are many flavors and degrees of cel-shading. I think over all, the composition is nice in this game from what i have seen, and it looks really close to the original. The 3 games you listed were cel-shaded, but were less subtle than this title. Comes down to personal preference i know. But it doesn't look like ASS. Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: schild on May 09, 2008, 07:46:04 AM Yes it does. It might look good in motion, but in screenshots that shit obviously needs about 16x AA to not look like the outline around the characters is drawn in with Paint. Why are there even outlines around the characters? Is it to make it look like the comic? that's really unnecessary.
Title: Re: Dragonball Online. Post by: HaemishM on May 09, 2008, 08:38:26 AM Bah, if it's not on the Wii, I've no interest in a DBZ game.
