This wouldn't be funny unless it had, like, David Cross in it.

Ghost Rider and then Wild Hogs #1 at the box office, and now this. LCD for the loss.

I just lost IQ points thinking about it.

The premise of the show could be funny but the fact it is based on a TV ad makes me nervous.

Yep, and that remained funny only because it was done in limited doses. The commercials (if they were ever funny to begin with, which is highly debateable) have grossly overexposed the one note joke as it is. A sitcom will blow ass.

Now....a reality show with those bozos trying to survive with prehistoric tech with sabretooth tigers and velociraptors and space aliens and whatever else killed them in those days might make me break my no reality TV vow. Especially if they died in the first show.

Happy Fun Ball cracked me up everytime it was on. "Don't taunt Happy Fun Ball"

Well, they said it would be based in Atlanta, so they do have to deal with a prehistoric sewer system, roads the Romans would turn pale on seeing, and a "layout" akin to a jungle deathtrap.

True story.

Since the concept OBVIOUSLY (http://imdb.com/title/tt0104187/) has never been done before maybe it should take place in Encino!

It's pretty dry.  But when According to Jim sets the bar, this isn't too bad.

While I did feel the first few commercials were funny, I really cannot even imagine a series of this.

I mean, you have to be kidding.

I still smirk thinking about the cavemen in the restaurant having a lunch meeting with the Geico guy, though.  "Yes, I'll have the roast duck in the plum sauce."  "And I don't have much of an appetite anymore, thank you."  And then he gives the Geico guy the stare.

Smirk-worthy.

Not series-worthy.

Or the news segment where he's arguing for the achievements of Cavemen, and that bitch says someone woke up on the wrong side of the rock. Their reactions are priceless.

I'll admit, I like the "offended caveman" commercials.  A show about them would of course be likely to suck ass, but I'd still watch the first episode just for shits and giggles.

With all the other dreck on the air why not give 'em a try?  Those commercials crack me up, they are so dry.

What harm could a pilot do?  Think of Seinfeld but with Cavemen.

It's funny, what you just described is the exact reason I think this is a bad idea.

If, on the other hand, they don't do a bunch of "Get it?! They're CAVEMEN!" jokes, but focus entirely on them having to deal with prejudice and their reactions to it, that could be funny.  But how you make an entire show out of that is beyond me.

I think it might be too soon to create a comedy based on the strife and struggles of the caveman. 

I like the one where the caveman is at the therapist's office, his mom calls and he says to the therapist "I'm putting it on speaker".  See? Cavemen have control issues because of their overbearing mothers just like us H. sapiens!
