My above comment was not meant to be dickish, just an observation. It seems like he has a positive attitude about the whole thing, which is very good.

So I saw this episode of the Sarah Silverman show this weekend. One of her friends on the show was getting a humanitarian award. And the whole show is basically about Sarah's ego, so she says that she took in a homeless guy. Now, the homeless guy ends up trying to kill her, but nonetheless she did take in a homeless guy.

I'm not saying this is like that.

But that wedding photo shouldn't have been published.

ETA -- Maybe I misinterpreted the post. After talking to ye olde wife, she has mentioned that the rest of the photos associated with the article show a happier woman. 

I just thought it unfair to call the woman "a bitch" because she possibly couldn't maintain her happy face at a crucial moment.  Weddings are tense occasions for most people, and the fact of the matter is the guy got fucked over royally and bares horrendous scars and a future of painful therapy and surgery to show for it.  And I imagine that plus more was on his and her minds.  Only problem is we can't judge his expression because his face is only vaguely recognizable.

Man, I don't get it, there's no way that Marine can be done with all of his surgeries. There's a lot more they can do for that guy, especially with the skin grafts and lack of a nose. I've seen people with Treacher Collins get fixed to the point where you can't even tell they had it, there's no way this guy can't at least get this guy where he can go in public without a hat on and not catch a look.

Were I the photog, I don't know if I'd be suggesting expressions at all.  That's just way fertile ground for offending them both.

It does mention he has more surgeries in the future, but he's not necessarily looking forward to dealing with even more than he's already had.

I wish those two and all like them the best in the world. I hope karma kicks in for the bitches leaving the wounded.

I especially hope karma kicks in for the assholes who put them in that situation, but it doesn't seem to work that way.
