I've been hotly anticipating this game for awhile now. It appears to be Oblivion with multiplayer. My biggest concern is that I know very little about the development house and so am having to go mostly on faith at this point.

Ah, shit. MMO mode?

Guess I can scratch another game off my list. I had been looking forward to this one.

MMO mode is really stretching it. It's more "large coop" since it's up to 8 other players, and most people will do what I plan on doing - 1 or 2 friends playing with them.

Point being the resources for developing the single player game just got slaughtered. I have very little interest in multiplayer, since it's nigh impossible to schedule game times.

We're old men, Sky.  It seems kids these days refuse to buy shit they can't co-op, network and blog about later.  SP games are a dying breed much like TBS instead of RTS.

Ah well, it means I upgrade the computer MUCH less often nowadays.

I remember when my supervisor (then just a friend) and I were talking about CRPGs. He said the nice thing about them was you didn't have to dick around trying to get everyone together for a gaming night. This was 1994. Now here we are with the same damned problem.

It supports up to Shader 3.0. In the ATI line Shader 2.0 is Radeon 9zzz-gen, Shader "2.5" is the Xzzz-gen, and Shader 3.0 is Xzzzz-gen.

Care to expound upon that, schild?

Do I really need to? There are an absolute shit ton of TBS games on consoles and PC. IN FACT, there are more TBS titles than RTS titles of note every year on both platforms. There isn't a single system missing TBS titles except the PSP in America - and even then they have a really great one (Field Commander) with a killer app (Disgaea) coming out.

On PC you have everything from Patrician to Europa Universalis to Dofus.

As for RTS? The world doesn't need more than 4 a year especially when none of them are as competitively fun as RoN or AoEII.

AoEII was great fun.

Is that an industry term? If not, I wouldn't call up to 8 players large Coop. Hell, even Microprose Falcon 4 boasted support for up to 64 users IIR.  Getting that to actually happen with the game was a diferent matter though.

This comes out on the 18th.  The strategy guide is already out.

If it supports multiplayer over 360, I'll give it a whirl.

The euro version has been out for a while I believe.   It had really bad bugs from what I gather and there seem to be some complaints about a lack of polish.  I'm interested in it but it certainly sounds like something to avoid buying on day 1.
