Title: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Slayerik on January 25, 2007, 09:47:55 AM http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=465381
North is gonna get bloody real soon. Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Yoru on January 25, 2007, 11:05:16 AM I hear popcorn futures rose 20% this morning... :)
Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Vedi on January 25, 2007, 12:57:13 PM Fantastic!
Any bets how this will go? I think we can safely assume it'll be much tougher than ASCN. Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Yoru on January 25, 2007, 01:13:54 PM I'm guessing a long drag-out knock-down stalemate between MC/BoB and IRON/D2, with the border shifting to the Outer Ring/Cloud Ring areas.
The real determinant will be the East - if BoB commits to helping LV to maintain a buffer against AlcoRedGoonCurseSwarm, they may be stretching themselves thin. If they don't, that flank will be exposed when LV crumbles and Drunkgoon looks for a new target (most likely BoB again). Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: 5150 on January 26, 2007, 06:08:09 AM Interestingly FLA has [so far] managed to avoid the attentions of anyone (other than Triumvirate that is)
I dont know if this is because FLA have managed to do some behind the scenes deal or that (especially after their recent problems) no one considers them dangerous enough to worry about just yet. Having said that it probably wont be long before D2 and/or IRON request FLA's help them out and at that point things could get messy for FLA. One problem I do see for D2 is that, like BOB they appear to claim much more space than they can actually control so it will be interesting to see if D2 have any 'slave corps' (other than FLA and IRON, I'm talking about Mordus Mishi (or whatever their name is) and friends) and how they stand up to the task Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. In passing, I always expect to run into at least one of their large bubble camps. My guess is, though fairly uneducated, is that you might as well consider them in the war. Its just too close to their home. The other thing is, other Northern Groups will start sending PVP gangs just because there are targets nearby. Due to the NAPs, our alliance had been going down to Curse lands and owning noobs. Now we can save ourselves 25 jumps :) Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. LV just lost 15 dreadnoughts to RA's 2.The real determinant will be the East - if BoB commits to helping LV to maintain a buffer against AlcoRedGoonCurseSwarm, they may be stretching themselves thin. Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Slayerik on January 26, 2007, 01:06:16 PM MC also war dec'ed RAZOR and MM. So it really looks like a BoB/MC vrs the entire North.

Yeah, I heard about that this morning from the office Goons. They were wondering how bad of a blow 15 dreads was. :) Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. Preluded to BoB invasion Post by: Yoru on January 26, 2007, 02:12:28 PM So is MC still technically "neutral", or are they basically a client state of the BoB Hegemony?

Got on 7 capital killmails myself so I'm really chuffed. But yeah that's got to be a blow to LV morale. Title: Re: MC Contract Announced. They do a lot of non-BoB contracts but yes, they're another BoB buffer state, and tend to do what BoB asks without question. It's generally win-win for both sides. |
