I got an 82.  I don't know any of my cuts of meat.

76%

That was mildly entertaining.

I also think not knowing my American presidents (being, uh, Canadian) sort of gimped me too.

I should just do it again and pretend that I got the eventual 95% or whatever.

76 percent as well.

Same goes for the meat.

My brain is obviously cooked today...62%. I usually pwn these kinds of things.

79%.  I very much liked the breadth of the questions, even if some of them completely stumped me.

90%. Yeah, some of those were entirely lucky guess. Yellow Submarine? Cuts of Beef? Open Chords? WTF.

I somehow guess right on quite a number of them, especially the ones that made the least amount of sense to me.

58%. I don't know shit apparently. Especially about dead people's faces.  I couldn't tell what to look for in the woods question. Only 3 stars in science, that's bullshit, only 3 in geek? 5 in culture? I don't know shit about culture.

re-took and still got 73%. Oh well.

Oh come on!  The Beatles?  Don't make me feel old, I"m not even close to old...

I knew it was the Beatles but I didn't get the pun :(

52%

As for the forest question, its the direction the shadows are.  Sun travels east to west so late afternoon the shadows will be pointing East-ish.  Find the one where the shadows point to the right, bam.

I got about halfway, reflected on the amount of guesses I had to make and decided to give up and put on some vocal trance. So I know I'm pretty-much not the traditional manly man, but I can live with that. :P

I actually got all the tools right, so I guess my dad taught me well there. I couldn't actually, you know, do anything with any of them, but I know what they are called at least.

I knew the Yellow Sub had to do with the Beatles, but I for some reason didn't make the connection between the bug (a beetle) and The Beatles.

And seriously. I was born in the 80s. The Beatles are who, exactly?

Heh...

Got the question about accountants wrong.

When a woman asks what you do,  nevernevernever say accountant.

I think they were shooting for honesty.

Hey, I was born in 1976...I can't imagine your parents didn't have like one Beatles album laying around...or are you one of those kids that was grown in a lab?

Title: Re: Are you experienced?

From what I remember, nope. I haven't seen any records around the house since I was 7. Never heard my mother ever mention the Beatles. It was always stuff along the lines of The Who, Queen, Led Zepplin, etc. Early MJ as well.

I don't think I'm much older than Straz, and I actually own a few Beatles records.  I had a peculiar upbringing, though.

Hmm.  Maybe that's a generational thing then.  My parents owned Bob Dylan albums (but only until he went electric), Beatles albums and Beach Boys albums.  They were also born in 1946, so perhaps that's part of it.  They have bizarre musical tastes by many people's standards.  They're like the only non-hippies that I know who pretty much only like folk music....and the Beach Boys.

Title: Re: Are you experienced?
Post by: Strazos on January 23, 2007, 07:50:03 PM
Eh, they were born in the 60s, so that may be why.

As far as music goes, I don't own much at all, but we've been down that road before.

(born) 1982. Have a shitload of Beatles. One of the most celebrated bands in history. Doesn't matter who your parents were.

Title: Re: Are you experienced?
Post by: Krakrok on January 23, 2007, 08:58:10 PM

Only 62 here.

If they wanted me to link Yellow Submarine to the Beatles they should have had a picture of the Beatles not some iridescent june bug looking beatle. Or at least a picture of more than one beatle. I picked the monkey option because I figured there had to have been some crazy monkeys in the Yellow Submarine movie.

And the accountant photo was the right option because accountants have money.

I knew what to look for in the woods shadow question but I didn't want to take the time to figure it out so I just guessed and got it wrong.

54%, 5 in survival and 0 in cooking.

I cook quite freqently for friends to great reviews, and I go camping/fishing/outdoorsy crap...never.

So yeah.

56%

Considering:

A: I don't and have never lived in America.
B: I was brought up as a Vegetarian.
C: I don't own a car or a license.

and

D: 1/4 the time no pictures showed up so I guessed blind

I think that's ok.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. (So late in the day the shadows will be on the east side of the trees.)

Yeah, the pictures were so fuzzy for me I couldn't tell where any shadows were. I thought it must be something else, because they were so small they pretty much looked identical.

70%.  Meat and the different tools got me.  I need to get out more  :-P

Starts off badly. I don't understand how taking a condom into a brothel is an inexperienced idea. I get that the idea is that a brothel takes money....but fuck, man. I never fuck strange without a wrapper. /That's/ inexperience. That's why my entire band had some sort of STD, but I do not.

Aaanyway. 82% I missed two meats, got my loins mixed up, forgot top sirloin was underneath(heh). Got the saw wrong!

I found that misleading. I got it 'right', but it does say 'in a bar'. In a bar kind of assumes you're looking for a hookup, where honesty wouldn't be as important. However, experience has taught me: don't lie to women.

You only need money because the condoms are included, newb.

A lot of good that whole band thing did for ya.

Hmm...I got a 90. Not bad considering I literally had to guess on two questions because there was no question or picture, just A and B.

Vehicles 3
Survival 5
Films 5 (pretty accurate, I watch a ton of movies and know alot of weird trivial shit about movies. At least from say 1980 on.)
Science 3 (bogus bullshit right here, science has always been my strength.)
Romance 5
Geek 5 (this is right on.)
Vocabulary 5
Sports 5 (lol, I don't even watch sports games, my girlfriend knows more about football than I do. I do like some sports movies and watch some boxing though...)
Cooking 3
Music 5 (which is funny because I'm not a big music person. The only artist I follow regularly is Weird Al.)
Travel 3
Military 5
History 3
Society 5

Ahh, I see. And yes, a lot of good the band thing did. I've never visited a brothel or paid for sex. Why pay when you can get beautiful women who will do anything for free?

Got a rather lousy 60%. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't appear on about 6 of the questions. Also, I really don't care what your presidents looked like. I think I hit over 50% on the meat cuts though.
