Title: Fallen Earth dev chat Post by: UnSub on December 21, 2006, 06:35:10 PM Fallen Earth (http://www.fallenearth.com), a post apoc MMOG that's been in development since about 2002, had it's first dev chat yesterday. You can see the chat on the main english fansite (http://www.fallenearth.se).
Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but 95% of it is fluff. The whole Captain Pouches - an inside joke about a wombat - just isn't that funny either. Despite them saying prior to the chat that they weren't going to talk about launch and beta, I seriously expected them to pull a switch and announce some sort of launch plan. No luck there. So, Fallen Earth goes into it's 5th odd year of development with no announced launch plans at all and I'd suggest that 2007 is not a year in which they'd want to try to launch a MMOG with very little build up. I appreciate them not wanting to have to shift dates and get a poor reputation for it, but no announced launch plans makes Icarus look like an amateur dev group who are working on a vapour game.
