Title: Eve Marketing Survey
Post by: Viin on December 21, 2006, 11:41:28 AM
Most of you folks will probably get an invite to do the survey, but I found it interesting they are releasing the results of some of their questions (related to playing games). You can see the results here, and it's suppose to be updated in real time for the next 30 days.

I'd be curious if this changes between now and then:

67% prefer team based games

67% prefer team based games

"Team Based" covers a lot of ground. It's so poorly defined and broad a term as to be useless. Eve is already team based. Any online portion of FPS or RTS is team based. XBL games are "team based". They may as well have asked if people like getting bj's while leprachauns fill their pockets with gold-plated diamonds.

How many people are in this survey?

Things I have a problem with:
64.4% have competed in tournaments? With a proper cross-section, not a fucking chance.
That team vs. Individual # would even out more than it has already started to.
1 week to 3 months is too huge a gap. Console game makers know that the first 1-3 weeks is the biggest sales period, with a possible rebirth after word of mouth.

Anyway, herro, not enough questions.
