Anyone know whether Wii Friends Codes work internationally? I.e. between continents/markets? (I'm based in Europe - Norway to be specific) :P

Is anyone actually getting any use out of this yet? Honest question.

[EDIT] New number above. I formatted my system memory (long story), and it gave me a new Friend Code.

So far, I have not detected a use for it outside sending messages.

I don't really know how to use this to even send a message.  I am going to program some of you ho-bags into my Wii and pray for rain.

When ChingChong came up to bat in a game of Baseball, there was much giggling from those of us who could read.  My wife said "I can see why you are friends with her."

Yay! I was afraid you were going to have to explain to the boy what "non-PC" means.

One of these days I'm going to send you all messages, and invade your systems with my Mii.

If it weren't for that whole Wii Friend Codes are a Pain in the Butt thing, I'd have done it already.

Voodoolily figured it out, I imagine that you don't want to be outdone by a hippie, right?

I need to make more Mii's (I've only made myself).

Someone made a Hitler and Saddam Mii, and they ended up in my parade. I was rather happy. It's pretty funny playing baseball and seeing Hitler hit a ball to right field and then seeing Saddam catch it.

You know. I think I might have to make every major warlord and tyrant. it would be the Field of Broken Dreams.

I am disappointed at the lack of cat-ears in the Mii choices.

You would enjoy Super Mario Sponge Bath, I'm sorry, but your opinion of Mario is suspect.

Shiggity shiggity shwa.

how do you know? have you even played it yet?

Title: Re: Wii Friends Codes
Post by: Yegolev on May 08, 2007, 04:58:38 AM
I preferred the previous Paper Mario by a big margin.

Title: Re: Wii Friends Codes
Post by: voodoolily on May 08, 2007, 10:13:34 AM
The previous Paper Marios are excellent, but SPM is also fun. I'm not saying it's better, but it's not worse. It's hardly a Paper Mario at all, but it is still fucking fun as hell. Being able to play as Bowser and burn everything in my wake makes me giggle.

Title: Re: Wii Friends Codes
Post by: Yegolev on May 08, 2007, 10:17:04 AM
I will say it is worse but qualify that as personal preference rather than on technical reasons.  I do like playing as Bowser but I'd rather have more RPG and less Super Mario Bros., meaning the NES one.  I also miss the battle screen.  What works for FFXII does not work for Paper Mario.

Title: Re: Wii Friends Codes
Post by: voodoolily on May 08, 2007, 01:33:26 PM
The battle screen was getting old on the other ones until I got the badge that let me bypass menial battles. Maybe I'm just not in a turn-based point in my life right now. I will stop defending SPM's honor now.
