Title: Into the Fray
Post by: Slayerik on November 20, 2006, 04:27:21 PM

Just reactivated (with my massive 250,000 SP) and was wondering if F13 still had something rolling here? Any particularly active guys I can chat with on Vent or TS? Holla :)

- Slay

First thing to do is join the F13 chat channel. There's usually someone around to talk to there.

We're kinda waiting for Kali 1 to drop before we start playing hardcore. So stop by the F13 channel and chat with us (anyone can join it). You are welcome to join the corp after we get rolling again - not a real good reason to do it right now unless you want to start donating some of your mission money.  :-D

We haven't been getting on F13's TS except when we plan an op, which is rarely. However, go ahead and get the url and password (http://forums.f13.net/index.php?topic=7131.0) so you can connect when the time comes.

Real Life has broken a foot off in my ass, and I think it's getting ready to abuse me with the second one... however my pilot's name is Yegolev and I will be in the F13 chat channel if I am on.  Those playing the home game will remember that I am an industrialist, specifically a miner/refiner, so I won't be any help in a combat op.  Feel free to chat, though.

I resubscribed. Although I have nothing much to speak of because I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I have a better grasp on it now. I think. I'm having more fun this time around at least :)

I guess I'll see you guys online.

I had much the same experience. I played a bit, was lost, just trained skills while I was doing something else for a few months, then tried again -- redid the tutorial even. Second time through made a lot more sense. (I think they had upgraded the tutorial in the interim as well).

Currently I'm flying a Vex out in Gallente space, but I'm on F13's regular channel when I'm on.

If you guys are making new characters now, you might want to wait until after tomorrow - the new character creation system gives 800k-810k skill points to newbies.  Formerly, the best you could get was like 330k, so this is a big difference and time saver.

From the Dev Blog:

The Mission: To compensate people that have less skill 800.000 skill points when we upgrade to the new character creation.

Every character that has less than 800.000 SP will receive skills until he has more than 800.000 SP. Characters created a week before we patch will thus have the same amount of SP as new characters, or more. They will naturally also have the advantage over completely new characters of more ISK and of course experience.

The upside of giving every character this treatment (including inactive characters sharing accounts with a “main” character) is that everybody feels the love. Players that have been playing for a while will always have an advantage on freshly created characters, be it in ISK or simply in gaming experience.

This kicks so much ass.

Heh, for a second there I was worried - I just created a new Minmatar toon for pvp. The image of Dwindlehop shooting across my screen like he does has left an indelible impression upon my retinae! Plus as Minimatar I could make a Genghis-looking character.

I just reactivated my account.  My old character with the 11ish million skill points and the Covetor and about 70 million in the bank could use a home, especially since the game seems to have changed a little on me...

I believe the bulk of F13 is in Akari.  But just join the F13 channel and it can be sorted.

(Psst. Akora, not Akari. It's in The Forge.)

Oh right.  I am the one in Aakari.  Actually I am in Caslemon to pick up Focus, gogo easymode learning skills, but I'll be back soon enough.  These names, they are like trying to remember five thousand strings of random characters.
