Seems EVE has taken a page from SE/FFXI playbook. 

After reading through this forum I thought I'd resub to check things out and found out my account no longer exists.  I've subbed/resubbed to eve serveral times since it's release so I my toon had a significant amount of XP and prepatch stuff (including one of those calderi misslle frigs).  Each time I canceled I coulda swore the confirmation stated my account would still be there, no mention of a time limit.

Oh well, sucks to be me.  Not going to resub from scratch. 

Odd.  Try emailing them?

That is odd - I hadn't played for at least a year when I resubbed awhile ago.

Likewise, I let my account sit inactive for about a year and everything was there for me when I came back.  I heard they delete trial accounts periodically but if they've started with subbed ones it must be a new policy.  I'd second getting in touch with support.

Have you actually checked to see if your characters are still there?  I'm not sure, but you might be able to view characters from the Eve-O site even if you're not subbed.  And someone who is in game should be able to look your characters up and see if they are still in the directory.

Don't know if it has changed or not but iirc, at release your name/pw was used for both website and game.  I can't get get logged into the website to check my account, character etc.  I've sent an email and asked if they could verify whether or not my account has been deleted.

Not sure if any info ref an unsubbed character would be availible but if any logs in soon, would appreciate a search for Tige.

There was a security breach at some point -- I recall having to change my password. It's possible you'll need to get a reset. I'm not sure what they did to those whose password was compromised, but who weren't currently subscribed.

I think you might just need a password reset.
