Didn't see one set up last night.

But I'm in Bumfuck, Texas, so whatever.

I hate when they hook these things up to those little widescreen monitors, 20" or whatever. Then an aisle away they have a dozen bigscreen hdtvs. Bastards. I've told the Circuit City guys they should hook up a pc and show off some FEAR or Oblivion or something. Hook people into two big sales at once.

Lol. I see your point and all....But still, I can't help but think you're being anti-console again here.

Big screens would be nice though.

This was three years ago when consoles barely did HD, and kludgy at that. Nowadays I guess it wouldn't be so bad. Mostly to show people you can hook pcs to hdtvs easily, few know that, apparently. I also quick-checked and my tv is hdcp. I still won't be putting a bluray player in the new pc for a while (until they're $50 or less like DVD), but it's nice to know I can. Researching products ftw.

Anyway, I wasn't being anti-console, I was being pro-big screen :) Imagine guitar hero 2 rocking on a 60" set instead of the little ones they put in the game area...have that viewing sofa all set up...

When I was testing out HDTV's I took my 360 console in with 3 different 720p movie trailers loaded on it (A Scanner Darkly, The Fountain and Pirates of the Caribbean II) plus demos for Burnout 3, Condemned, and... something else I can't remember right now.

Where ever we hooked up the 360, we drew a crowd of both employees and customers. Why they don't have a machine running on their large HDTVs makes no sense to me.

I checked yesterday afternoon at the Best Buy on the way home.  No PS3 on display, but Sony did buy an endcap and three feet of shelf solely to put a large PS3 advert on it.

No Wii nothin'.  There was one 360, one Cube, and two PS2 playable.
