To avoid an unnecessary trip we strongly recommend you call your local store to determine availability. A $50 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade. Reservations/Purchases are limited to 1 per household. Our limited online pre-order program will be announced at a later date, after software and accessory availability details are confirmed. Mine says it's on, and they've received several calls already today. I suppose it became a ritual years ago. I threw some money down on Twilight Princess and Trauma Center as well.
Putting $50 down on a Wii two days after dropping $100 and change on a PS3 and game reserves feels just goddamn ridiculous. I've come to terms with the cost of the PS3. I'd really like a blu-ray player (and HDDVD player for that matter) since the only tvs we have in the house now are HD. But anyway, yea, done and done. There was already 75+ people waiting in line, with the first 20 or so having camped out. Those fuckers are welcome to the first few consoles. Ill get my some where that doesnt take preorders. Which is to say, unless there's a sneak launch (which there probably won't be), Nintendo would be dumb as a motherfucker to put Wiis in the hands of teenagers making $7.50/hr.

And worse comes to worse and I miss out big whoop de doo. My life was not impacted in any way by having to wait a couple months for the 360. Hell, it gave me a better system and Oblivion was out! |
