Title: Clerkship season. Post by: Triforcer on September 14, 2006, 02:00:12 PM Its judicial clerkship season in law school! And the federal judges called en masse around the country today. While my grades apparently aren't good enough to get calls from the appellate judges, five recent Bush district court appointees have called me. Just wanted to let you know!
On a serious note, any lawyers here have c'ship experience? Let me know and I may PM you to see if you know anything about the specific judges I got interviews with. It really does depend on the judge. Some judges are the "I donated 500k and golf every morning" type- I've literally talked to former clerks who said that the judge would turn to them at the end of trial and say "Well, who should win?" and then "K, write it up". Some judges are the workaholic type, and while they may ask clerks about their opinion the judge will always have a firm opinion himself. My potential judges are all Bush appointees (from 2003 on, strangely) and the youngish types, so I probably wouldn't have much influence.
