Summary: Blizzard is having a contest. Any player that completes 25 quests is entered automatically. By entering, you agree to Blizzard using/selling your personal information for the purposes of spam and "marketing". In typical fashion, the CM reply to this thread is a condescending little cocksuckerish remark, accompanied by zero denial or reassurance - and a lock. Enjoy the spam! Because it's a "real-life" prize contest they have to allow people to enter without paying anything -- in other words people who aren't already WoW players. For non-WoW players you are allowing Blizzard to send you marketing information. For existing WoW players Blizzard already has all their personal information and even without the contest they've already (implicitly) agreed to let Blizzard use it for the same purposes:

It was (is?) bugged to all ends though, sometimes the orcs would not show up, sometimes the 'boss' would not spawn, sometimes it would just freeze all together :( But yea, when it does work. I don't know if it's a testament to Blizzard's writing or my own soft hearted(and headed)ness, but after reading the intro quest text (and I couldn't resist finding out what a turtle floating around the boonies of Tanaris had for a quest), I could not help but do the quest. It seemed the epitome of calcluating xp-maximization not to escort this poor dumb lost guy back to his familiar henpecked seaside environment. I am always amused by the poor thing going all the way across the desert and back just to be henpecked by the turtle he loves.

"Of love and family" and "the battle of dwarrowshire" for example i could do 100 times over and still enjoy. Seeing a little ghost girl reunited with her father and finding out the story of some old hermit who used to be a bad ass just does it for me.

I enjoyed the redridge begging for help and the unfolding of everyone else's other problems; I liked the onyxia quest line, the king of stormwind quest line, the whole morrowgrain-related stuff was a nice touch and gives you a valid reason to hate those pointy eared bastards in charge; Getting the sprite darter hatchling, the mechanical yeti quest in winterspring... I can probably point to one or two "interesting" quests per zone, that aren't just "please retrieve 15 foozle toenails".
