Things like this just confuse me. Why not just make this a new cartoon? Why the fuck do you take characters and completely change them for your new cartoon instead of making new ones? It's not like any kids that will watch this are going to do so because it's the Thundercats, I doubt any of them have ever heard of the Thundercats.

I have a funny story: First guy I ever beat up was when I was around 9 years old. He was older -- a teenager probably. It was on a rainy, Thanksgiving Day. I was skateboarding near my house, waiting for dinner, when this guy shows up on his bike, with 20 Questions. "Where do you live?" "How old are you?" "What school do you go to?" I had never seen him in the neighborhood before.

So, this guy is kind of scaring me, right? So I tell him that I was going home, and yet, he still follows me right up to my front porch. More questions.

Finally, I get tired of the shit, turn around, and just as I'm about to grab my front door knob, he grabs my shoulder, pushes me around, and I see nothing but his big, fat, drooling lips moving in to kiss me. I smacked the motherfucker so hard it was as if my ears rang. "DAAADDD!!!!" I screamed.

The guy backed away, holding his face. Near my door, I had this little 1x1 piece of wood with a Thundercats symbol etched on it with a red and black marker. It was my homemade Lion-O sword. I grabbed it and charged, swinging away. You'd think a 9 nine year old with a 1x1 would be a harmless thing, but I put that guy on the floor. I beat him. He crawled to this bike, and took off, never to be seen again.

Dad never came. He was inside, partying with friends. Mom was cooking, chatting it up with her friends. But fucking Lion-O was there for me, man!

God, I wish I still had that thing...

That was a great story.  It is what every 9 year-old dreams of when constructing their very first fake sword.

I think the part about this remake I found most disturbing was that Snarf is now the lead character.

Snarf is the leader of the Thundercats rock band? WHAT... THE... FUCK?

About the only way I could buy that is if the rock band is all pre-pubescent and Snarf is a child molester and cat slavery pimp.

I've finally figured something out. The explosion of furries that seemed to be kicked off by the spread of the Interweb can now be explained. It wasn't the web, it was the fact that the web hit about the same time those childhood fans of Thundercats grew to pr0n-buying age. DAMN YOU CHEETARAH! DAMN YOU LION-O!

I like the quip about Mumrah's laughing.  I loved the show, but I stopped watching due to that incessant laughing.  Seriously, that was really screwed up.  He'd laugh after every sentence for like 2 minutes as if he had heard the funniest joke he'd ever heard.  The voice actor for that character must have had lungs the size of watermelons and a throat made of stainless steel.

Mumrah took the Evil Laugh (TM) way way too far.

Delete your cache, and you'll probably see the Tripod banner. It's just loading the image for you because you visited the original site.

Wouldn't you want referrers turned ON in order for Tripod to block the image?  If they're off then the site would think you are viewing the picture directly.

Typically sites that block image leechers will block if they see no referrer at all as well as if the referrer is coming from a site other than their own.

If I type "http://www.tripod.com/suckyfreeaccount/picture.jpg" is that considered refered or not?  To my mind it is not, and what I meant.

If you turn referrers on then that link should show as coming from f13.net, so it would be blocked.  If "referrers turned off" means it does not know it came from f13, then it assumes it is direct, so it accepts it.  Does that make sense?

It's not supposed to be (i.e. the referrer value will be "null"). Very old browsers (like ancient Netscape versions) sometimes leaked the URL of the page you were on as the referrer when you typed in an URL directly.

Depends on how draconian the site wants to be about image leechers.
